As the Distinguished Mother of all Mothers in the State By Virtue Of Her Position as the Governor’s Wife, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel Is a Quintessential Lady with a Unique Style of Leadership.

Born into the Family of Chief Bernard Sampson Idiong and Prof. Stella Idiong of Obio Akpa in Oruk LGA of Akwa Ibom State shortly after the civil War as the third child in the Family of four.
After A Successful Completion of Her Primary and Post Primary Education at Cornelia Cornelly College Uyo, she Went to the University of Uyo where she obtained her Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry (B.Sc. Hons). Out of her quest for knowledge, she enrolled for her masters degree in business administration (MBA) at the prestigious Lagos state university (LASU). Not satisfied with her academic qualifications, she further went to the school of oceanography lagos, where she bagged a certificate in aqua-culture. with these qualifications, she became passionate and succesfully involved in aqua-cultural farming.
As an epitome of moral conduct blended with encapsulating beauty, Her. Excellency, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel in 1996 tied the nuptial cord with her heartthrob, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel of Awa Iman in Onna LGA who is now the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state. The marriage is blessed with children.

As the First Lady, she is also the Chairperson and Founder of Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Programme (FEYReP). Coming from a privileged background, what baffles people is her compassion for the vulnerable in the society. Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel has not only expressed her commitment to change the fortunes of the underprivileged in the state, but has also demonstrated this in action through several charitable engagements even before she became the Governor’s wife.

    Bishop Eggah, also prophesied the election of Obong Nsima Ekere, the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as the Governor of the state in 2019.
